Senate confirms Northumberland County Sheriff

SUNBURY – The Senate of Pennsylvania unanimously confirmed Robert Wolfe of Coal Township as Northumberland County Sheriff. State Senator John R. Gordner (R-27 Berwick) announced the decision Tuesday.

Gordner said, “After meeting with Bob and having several conversations with him, I was pleased to support the nomination. He is very qualified for the position, and a man of personal integrity.”

Wolfe has served as acting Sheriff since the January resignation of former Sheriff Chad Reiner. He was nominated for the post by Governor Tom Corbett in April.  He will serve the remainder of the current term through 2015. (Codi Jade)
