SHAMOKIN — A Shamokin man is behind bars, charged with raping someone he knew.  State police have filed charges against 47-year-old Kenneth Wertz after a woman reported the rape on Sunday.  Wertz was arrested and arraigned before District Judge Ben Apfelbaum and sent to NorthumberlandCountyPrison on $100,000.  State police say the rape took place at a residence in EastCameronTownship.  The investigation continues.  (Ali Stevens)
