Shamokin man wanted for a crowbar assault

SHAMOKIN – A 33-year-old Shamokin man is wanted by police following an assault with a crowbar on Friday. The News Item reports Greg Latsha faces charges of aggravated assault and disorderly conduct in connection with the attack around 4:30 a.m. at Commerce and Coal Streets in Shamokin. Police say Latsha hit a 40-year-old Coal Township man in the face and head with a crow bar several times. The victim was bleeding when he arrived at the police station to report the assault. He was then transported to Geisinger Medical Center for treatment. An arrest warrant has been issued for Latsha. (Ali Stevens)
