Shikellamy needs more donations
SUNBURY — The people of New Jersey are still in need of help after Hurricane Sandy and the Shikellamy Marching Braves hear their song. They are ready to bring them a truckload of aid. Literally.
Mary Neidig is known as the “Grandma” of the marching band. She said, “We are trying to get a truckload of goods together to send down to New Jersey to the people that lost everything and are in need of supplies.”
The “Tractor-Trailer Drive” started on Saturday and more donations are still needed. Everyone is asked to bring items to the Shikellamy football stadium before Friday at 11:30a.m. The truck is only half-full, and they want to take a stuffed truck to New Jersey. They are accepting all donations except furniture and appliances. If you would like to donate but cannot haul the items yourself, you can call 286-9490 or 274-3100. (Codi Jade)
