Snyder County recognizes dispatchers this week

SELINSGROVE — County dispatchers are unsung heroes — and that is why Snyder County Commissioners are recognizing them during National Public Safety Telecommunicators Week.

Commissioner Peggy Chamberlain Roup says these men and women deserve some recognition, “These professional and dedicated men and women help you when you are in a crisis situation. They help our police and fire departments and emergency personnel day in and day out. They make life and death decisions 365 days a year.”

Roup says she is proud of the dispatchers of Snyder County and in our surrounding counties because they are always dedicated to public safety. She says, “They rise to a new challenge every day.” April 13-19 has been declared National Public Safety Telecommunicators Week. (Codi Jade)
