Snyder County road work this weekend

MIDDLECREEK — You can expect some delays if you plan to travel through parts of Snyder County this weekend.  Microsurfacing projects are set to begin on two sections of state highway.

 

Roads involved include Route 104 in Franklin Township and Route 11 in Monroe Township.  A 2.5-mile section of Route 104 will receive roadway preservation treatment will start Friday.

 

The work will begin north of Middle Road and ending at the Penns Creek Bridge at the Union County line.  Work hours will be from 7a.m. to 6p.m. and will take two days on the first stretch. When Route 104 is completed the contractor will move to Route 11.

 

The work on Route 11 is set to start Sunday.  The work will begin under the Routes 11/15 overpass just north of Selinsgrove and end just south of Roosevelt   Avenue.  Work will be done one lane at a time with flaggers controlling traffic.  Work hours will be from 7p.m. to 6a.m. and will take two days on the first stretch.  The work on both roads is scheduled to be completed by August 9.  (Codi Jade)
