Sunbury man charged with city robbery

SUNBURY – A Sunbury man has been charged with robbing a Turkey Hill store in the city around 1:15 this morning. 25-year-old Duayne Faust II was arrested at his home following the robbery and was arraigned this morning on charges including robbery, theft, receiving stolen property and simple assault.

Sunbury Police say Faust entered the store at Front and Reagan Streets and came behind the counter. The clerk tried to stop him but he pushed her out of the way. When Faust couldn’t get in the cash register, he grabbed lottery tickets from underneath the counter and ran out of the store. Police say they recognized Faust from the store surveillance video and found him at his home, where he was arrested without incident. The lottery tickets were recovered from the home. (Ali Stevens)
