Sunbury police arrest two students after threats are made

SUNBURY – Sunbury police have arrested two students after threats were allegedly made to the Five Star Treatment School at Susquehanna Avenue and Packer Street in Sunbury on Wednesday. Chief Stephen Mazzeo says one adult student and one juvenile student were charged. Police say the students indicated that explosives would be used to attack the Five Star Treatment School, which is a school run by the Central Susquehanna Intermediate Unit.


The adult student, 18-year-old Michael Allen Lepley II, was arraigned before District Judge Ben Apfelbaum and sent to the Northumberland County Prison on $10,000 bail. The juvenile student was placed in Northumberland County Detention by juvenile probation officers. The investigation continues. (Ali Stevens)
