Sunbury woman critical after Friday crash

SUNBURY — A Sunbury woman is in critical condition after a NorthumberlandCounty crash Friday.  According to police, the crash occured around noon when 84-year-old Darlis Garmin was attempting to make a left turn onto Route 890 from Kehres   Road.


According to reports, Garmin failed to yield to oncoming traffic after stopping at a stop sign.  She pulled into the path of 39-year-old Jonathan Malick of Sunbury, as he was traveling down Route 890.


Garmin was transported to Geisinger Medical Center.  She was listed in serious condition, but her condition was updated to critical this morning.  Malick suffered minor injuries but was not treated.  Both vehicles had to be towed from the scene.  (Codi Jade)
