Suspect identified after an arson fire in Penn Township

SELINSGROVE – State police say a suspect has been identified following an arson fire in Penn Township, Snyder County this morning. No other details have been released about the suspect, but more information is expected later today.

Deputy Fire Chief Don Weirick of DH & L Fire Department in Selinsgrove says the fire at a shed along South Market Street, just south of Route 35, is suspicious. When firefighters arrived around 7 this morning, a 10 by 15 foot shed was fully involved in flames. The fire was put out quickly and no firefighters were injured.

Weirick says they were able to prevent the shed fire from spreading to a nearby trailer. The investigation continues. (Ali Stevens)
