Sustainability and local projects featured at upcoming workshop
SELINSGROVE – A workshop on sustainability is coming up and a Susquehanna University professor is just one of the many speakers. Mark Heuer, Assistant Professor of Management, says the day’s events with go over the “nuts and bolts” of sustainability.
“Particularly with spring coming up, we will look at how we have sustainability in terms of energy, home composting, gardening, plants and more. All this is geared toward the person that may not be day-in and day-out focused on sustainability, but has an interest.”
Heuer says the name of the event is “Breaking Up With Sandy and Irene,” and is for anyone interested in learning more about sustainability and local projects. “We want to focus on what we can do this spring and summer in our area to make things better.”
The workshop will be held Saturday, April 6 from 9:00a.m.-2:00p.m. at St. Paul’s UCC Church on Market Street in Selinsgrove. Cost is $10 and includes lunch. To register or for more information email firstname.lastname@example.org or call 570-539-4283. (Sara Bartlett)
