Tedd’s Landing restaurant to close November 1
SHAMOKIN DAM — The sign on the door summoning staff to an important 8pm meeting, and a note that the restaurant will close early Tuesday evening…were the first clues. The legacy restaurant known as Tedd’s Landing will close. November 1 is the date.
The Daily Item reports, owners cite increased competition as among the reasons for the closure. Owners say the more than one dozen Tedd’s employees will be offered employment at the Skeeter’s barbeque, which is located on the same property.
The Tedd’s Restaurant has been open for more than 50-years and is a landmark in Pennsylvania. In its heyday, numerous dignitaries made Tedd’s a stopping point when visiting The Valley. In future newscasts, we’ll have more about Tedd’s closing November 1.
