Three men face murder trial in April
MIDDLEBURG — A Beavertown man will go to trial for murder after a judge rejected a bid to have the charges against him dropped. Snyder County Senior Judge Louise Knight denied the request by 38-year-old Christopher Aucker.
He will now be tried along with 37-year-old Robert Reich of Beavertown and 36-year-old Ryan Sprenkel of Middleburg. The three men are accused in the beating death of 22-year-old Donald Seebold III of New Berlin in July of 1997. Trial is scheduled for late April. The men were charged last year following a state grand jury investigation. (Ali Stevens)
