Three-vehicle crash injures motorist, passengers
SUNBURY — Three people were injured in a three-vehicle crash Saturday on Route 890 in Northumberland County’s Rockefeller Township. State troopers say a vehicle driven by 30-year-old James Fisher of Sunbury entered the roadway into the path of another Sunbury motorist, and was struck nearly head on.
Fisher and an unidentified seven-year-old passenger were injured. The driver of the second vehicle was not injured.
However, the unidentified 17-year-old driver of a third vehicle was injured when her SUV struck the second vehicle.
Fisher faces a number of charges following the 5:10 p.m.crash, including driving without a registration or insurance, and driving with a suspended license. The driver of the third vehicle faces a charge for following too closely. The injured did not require EMS attention. (Matt Farrand)
