Two injured in Selinsgrove plane crash

SELINSGROVE — The investigation will continue after a plane crashed at the Penn Valley Airport near Selinsgrove on Friday afternoon, injuring the pilot and a passenger. . According to Emergency Services, the crash happened around 2:30 p.m. Two people were taken to the hospital for their injuries, but their identities have not yet been released.

The plane was a single engine Piper Pacer and crashed nose-first into the runway. The pilot is reportedly experienced and from Selinsgrove. The small plane was heavily damaged in the crash. Air traffic was directed to other airports, following fuel leakage and clean-up efforts. The National Transportation Safety Board will investigate. (Ali Stevens)
