Upcoming blood drives in the region

SUNBURY – Fake blood is part of many Halloween costumes, but the American Red Cross is hoping many will be willing to donate real blood as Halloween approaches. The SUN Area Chapter of the American Red Cross is hosting several upcoming blood drives. On Monday, a blood drive will be held at the Penn View Bible Institute from 1 to 6 p.m. On Thursday, there will be a blood drive at the Campus Theatre in Lewisburg from 1 to 6 p.m .and Friday at Empire Beauty School in the Orchard Hills Plaza in Shamokin Dam from 1 to 6 p.m. Several other blood drives are planned for the following week.

 

On Tuesday, November 5th, a blood drive will take place at St. John’s Lutheran Church Community Hall in Northumberland from 1 to 6 p.m. On Thursday, November 7th, Watsontown Community Hall will host a blood drive from 1 to 6 p.m. And Friday, November 8th, a blood drive will take place at New Berlin Fire Company from 1 to 6 p.m. To donate blood, you must be at least 17 years of age and weigh 110 pounds or more and feel in good health.
