VIDEO HERE: Auction draws a crowd in Milton
Following the stores’ closures in April, there was a big turnout for Kuhns Brothers and American Heritage Crafters auction.
MILTON – After shutting their doors last month, Kuhns Brothers Surplus Outlet and American Heritage Crafters in Milton are holding auction for a majority of their items.
The first was Wednesday and nearly 500 people packed the store. Ben Courtney works with Hassinger and Courtney Auctioneers and says over $3.5 million worth of items will be sold. “It is a large liquidation. This is probably one of the larger volumes of brand new merchandise like this that we have done.”
Rose Hager of Paxinos was one of the many people who came to the first day of the auction. “If you are looking for these kinds of items, you can’t find many of them around here. It’s sad.”
Thursday is another auction starting at 1:00p.m. at 700 Hepburn Street in Milton. The third auction will be Friday, June 7 at 3:00p.m. The surplus area of Kuhns Brothers will be liquidated Wednesday, June 5 at 10:00a.m. and Thursday, June 6 at 3:00p.m. (Sara Bartlett)
