KJ Reimensnyder and Kim Reichley perform ‘You’ve Got a Friend’ live on WKOK Sunrise

LEWISBURG – Hearts have been heavy for those who know Dr. Michael Baker.  The Lewisburg chiropractor was recently diagnosed with an inoperable brain tumor.  Erica Shames, publisher of Susquehanna Life Magazine, is a friend of Baker.  “I was just devastated when I heard the news, just like a lot of people,” says Shames.  “I kept thinking what I could do and when I learned that he didn’t have medical insurance at the time I thought about starting a fund.”

Since the diagnosis, Shames say Baker has gotten medical insurance, but never had it before because he was always more worried about others than he was of himself.  A fundraiser is coming up for Baker, which will include a lot of live music.

KJ Reimensnyder-Wagner is one of the creators of The Concert for Mike Baker.  “I thought about how I could give my talent and time.  Then, as they always do, my musician friends came through and said they would love to do it.”

Along with Reimensnyder-Wagner, nine additional musicians or bands will be playing.  The concert is Saturday in the Weis Center lobby on the campus of Bucknell University.  Doors open at 1:30p.m. and the show starts at 2:00p.m.  Admission is free, but donations to Baker’s medical fund are encouraged.  For more information call 570-522-0149.
