SUNBURY – You may have been to events sponsored by Sunbury Revitalization Incorporated, but with their new location downtown, you can get to know even more about them.  SRI held the grand opening for their visitor and volunteer center this week.

SRI Vice President Mel Purdy says they are pleased with the visibility they now have being on Market Street.  “This space was vacant for quite a while and we have wanted to get a place on Market Street.  People are always wondering who SRI is and what we are doing, so now we can show people.”

The new center has historic Sunbury artifacts, helpful material for visitors and information on volunteering says SRI’s Development and Volunteer Coordinator Zach Stotter.  “It is a place where visitors can come in and learn about Sunbury.  Right now we have a lot of historical items, but in the near future we will have more modern items so people can see what there is currently to do in Sunbury.”

The new center is at 249 Market Street.  You can learn more about SRI here. (Sara Bartlett)
