Volunteers help at Lewisburg park

LEWISBURG – Thanks to the good work of volunteers, a new pavilion is open for rental in Lewisburg.  A number of volunteers worked last month to construct a roof covering a small pavilion between the tennis courts and the playground at the Lewisburg Area Recreation Park.

Bill Pursel led the team of volunteers to help with construction.  It is not the first time he has helped with recreation.  Pursel, of Lewisburg, was also instrumental in the building of the original ice skating rink and warming building in 1972.  The pavilion is available for rentals and for more information call the Buffalo Valley Recreation Authority at 524-4774.
