Woman accused of stealing from an elderly client
SHAMOKIN – A Schuylkill County woman is free on bail, charged with stealing $30,000 from an elderly client she befriended at a funeral home where she worked. The News Item reports 43-year-old Heather Gober of Barnesville was arraigned Monday on felony burglary, criminal trespass, theft and receiving stolen property.
Police say Gober made friends with woman, who came to the funeral home in Shamokin following the death of her husband. Gober reportedly stole the cash from a box hidden in the woman’s home. Gober turned herself over to authorities on Monday. (Ali Stevens)
