NEWS DIRECTOR

Sunbury Broadcasting Corporation is in search of an innovative and dynamic news hound with a passion for radio, the web and social media to serve as its next News Director. This visionary leader will oversee a newsroom with the equivalent of four full-time employees. Much of the news director’s time and focus will be spent on Newsradio 1070 WKOK and WKOK.com, but he or she will also oversee the news product on four co-owned radio stations. This individual will anchor, write and report news and host a weekly public affairs program.

The successful candidate will:

Be able to craft a vision and lead by example with excellent news writing skills and a smooth on-air delivery.
Demonstrate knowledge of how to present an excellent on-air news product while also maximizing news and interactive content on online platforms.
Have a passion for breaking news, yet be cool under pressure.

P/T NEWS REPORTER/FILL-IN ANCHOR

Newsradio 1070 WKOK is seeking two part-time multimedia journalists to write and report news for its award-winning radio news operation as well as WKOK.com and social media outlets. Each successful candidate will demonstrate excellent writing skills and the ability to do great work for multiple platforms on a tight deadline. Each will also have a smooth on-air presentation and will be able to handle on-air anchoring duties when needed. Each individual will work an average of 15 hours per week. Part Time Promotions Assistants

The perfect candidates will be very fun, outgoing and energetic people with dynamic personalities and very flexible schedules. The position will require that you interact with our listeners at our live broadcasts and appearances. Good working knowledge of audio equipment is a plus, although we’ll train. Must be able to lift 50+ lbs.
