Man who made threats denied bail

SUNBURY – The Selinsgrove man who made threats toward Priestley Elementary School in Northumberland, less than a week after the Newtown Connecticut shootings, will remain behind bars after being denied a reduced bail amount. 37-year-old Jeremy Church was in court yesterday before Judge Charles Saylor and requested he be released from prison, but was denied and remains locked up on $125,000.   Church is accused of threatening to kill his ex-girlfriend on December 20th. Middleburg man faces trial for threats to a school

MILTON — A Middleburg man accused of threatening a woman, prompting the lockdown of the Shikellamy School District, will go to trial on multiple charges after waiving his right to a preliminary hearing. 37-year-old Jeremy Church was in district court in Milton yesterday and decided to send his charges of terroristic threats and drug possession on to court.   Police say on December 20th, Church threatened to kill his ex-girlfriend. He is also accused of referencing the Newtown, Connecticut school shooting when telling the woman he was going to get their daughter from Priestley Elementary School.   A pretrial conference has been scheduled for March 1st at the Northumberland County Courthouse. Middleburg man who made threats charged with drug possession

  POINT TOWNSHIP – The Middleburg man accused of threatening to kill a woman, which caused the lockdown of the Shikellamy School District, is facing additional charges.  37-year-old Jeremy Church is now charged with possession of marijuana and drug paraphernalia after Point Township police searched his vehicle December 20th.   Church was previously charged with three counts of terroristic threats for telling a woman he would kill her, and stating that he would go to Priestley Elementary to get his daughter.  Church told the woman he would do whatever it took to get her from the school and “make the Newtown incident look like nothing.” He remains behind bars in the Northumberland County Prison.  …

Hearing delayed for man accused of making threats

MILTON – A Middleburg man accused of threatening his ex-girlfriend and those at Priestley Elementary School on December 20th, remains locked up at the Northumberland County Prison after his preliminary hearing was delayed today. 37-year-old Jeremy Church faces charges of felony terrorist threats and charges are also pending for illegal possession of a firearm, which was found after the incident.   He turned himself into police after threatening to kill the woman and to go to Priestley Elementary to get his daughter. The Shikellamy School District locked down the buildings in the district as a precaution as soon as the threats were made. Church is locked up on $125,000 bail and no new court date…
