Crews respond to Geisinger Medical Center building fire

DANVILLE — Volunteer crews were called to a fire at Geisinger Medical Center Monday morning.  Around 11:30a.m. a call came in to report smoke in a wall on the 5th floor of Bush Pavilion on the Geisinger campus in Danville.  The fire was out by 12:30p.m., but some crews remained on the scene investigating and ventilating the structure.  Geisinger spokesman Mike Ferlazzo says that portion of the pavilion is currently under construction and there are no patients in the area.  Assisting at the scene were East End Fire Company, Danville, Southside, Washingtonville, Liberty Township and Bloomsburg fire crews.
