Former Montour Commissioner has died
DANVILLE – One of the three men who helped steer Montour County through the devastating 1972 Agnes flooding, has died. James Connolley was 82 years old. Connolley died Sunday at his home. Connolley served two non-consecutive terms as county commissioner, first in the early 1970′s and then again in the mid 90′s.
He was an Eagle Scout, lifelong musician and a Korean war era veteran. Connolley returned to college and received a BS degree in communications just eight years ago. The Press Enterprise reports services will be held Wednesday from St. Joseph church in Danville.
