SUNBURY — It was a very busy, warm, day in the The Valley Saturday. There were several well attended community events.
Shamokin Dam fire company’s Public Safety Day was a success, with several hundred people attending the event at the K-Mart parking lot. Life Flight landed and took off, the Fish and Boat Commission showed off their boat, and the ‘Norry Hookies’ put up their ladder truck. The goal is to create public awareness and education.
At the United Lutheran Church grounds in rural Sunbury, hundreds of people gathered for a Fall Festival. The temperature topped 80-degrees during the event.
The ‘Restore the Fourth’ rally in Sunbury attracted about 2-dozen people to Merle Phillips Park. They were advocating for a return of constitutionally guaranteed rights.
